I was not satisfied with the earlier painting, so I started another one, same location, but just turned my head to the right. I will admit there was an ugly white caravan on the right hand side of the tree, but who cares if the painting works better without it. An afternoon well spent.

I think there is always an artistic licence to remove certain things from a composition. The main objective is always to render the true character of a scene, and in order to accomplish this, occasionally some items have to go. Its good you realized this at the beginning of your painting, otherwise you might have had a big problem.
